Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,

After pastoring Calvary Baptist Church in Toccoa, Georgia, for the last seven years, the Lord has led us to return to the mission field. In December we were accepted by BIMI as missionaries to our US Military overseas. Our last service at Calvary was February 18. Goodbyes are never easy, and we will always cherish the time the Lord had for us at Calvary. We leave behind a great church with faithful people and friends. And so we begin our deputation ministry. We have been in meetings in South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, Ohio, Kentucky and Georgia. We already had to get one oil change after two weeks of deputation and are ready for another one. We have enjoyed meeting parents and grandparents of service members in every branch of service. It has also been a great blessing to interact with many veterans who attend the churches we have visited. Recently, in a missions conference, the pastor was retired Army; the guest speaker was a Marine veteran; and we are Air Force veterans. This is what excites us about our new ministry and the field where God has called us: the opportunity to train men for Christian service. There are many preachers, pastors, and missionaries that have spent time in our armed forces.

In February, our director, Dr. Jeff Alverson, asked us to go to Germany to preach a missions conference in his place. We were able to be with BIMI missionaries Roy and Ellen Smith at Heritage Baptist Church in Mehlingen, Germany. We had a wonderful time with the people of the church during the conference. As an added bonus we were able to visit DeAnna’s brother and his family while there. We appreciate your prayers as we have begun our deputation. We would ask you to pray that God would continue to fill our calendar and give us meetings to present our burden to our US military men and women overseas.

In Christ,

Michael & DeAnna Staley
